The band welcomes new members regardless of age or experience, in fact we have a number of adult and junior players in the band who had no musical experience prior to joining.
The band offers a learners group where tuition is given at a very reasonable rate which includes tuition, instrument hire, band membership and music. See our learners page for details.
For experienced players, the band is always looking to increase our membership and grow the band. While we welcome any instrument, we currently have specific vacancies in the following areas:
- Tenor Horn
- Trombone
- 1st, 2nd & 3rd Cornet
- Flugel Horn
- Soprano Cornet
- Percussion (we would love some experienced percussionists to join us)
- Glockenspiel and/or Xylophone
